FAQ
Frequently asked questions: These are common questions about booking and healing your tattoo.
Booking
Have a reference or two ready. Email me first for a quote. I only give quotes via email. Have an idea of the approximate size of the tattoo that you want. Look at styles you like, you don't need a reference of the exact tattoo you want but at minimum a short description and styles of tattoos that you like.
Scheduling
Once you have a quote you can book online. I will give you my booking link that has my most up to date calendar. If a date is not on my calendar it is because it is already taken!
Day of your tattoo
Make sure you bring a valid government issued ID. It must have your birth date, name, and photo. Birth certificates and social security cards are not a valid form of identification. You must be 18 in the state of Texas to get tattooed. This is dictated by the state health department. Examples of photo IDs: military ID, state ID, passport.
Regular Aftercare
In the case that you are sensitive to adhesives you will be wrapped with seran wrap. Take this off in two hours and wash with soap. Do not use soap that has perfume or scents, those typically have an alcohol base and will irritate your tattoo. Use a pea size amount of unscented lotion. If it is shiny on your skin you are using too much. Do that twice a day for two weeks. You may peel or scab a little and that is a normal part of the process.
Second Skin Aftercare
In the case you are not sensitive to adhesives I will put second skin on you. This will stay on for four to five days. Ignore any plasma or ink you may see in it. The plasma helps it heal faster. You will act like you didn't get tattooed. On the fourth or fifth day you will take off the second skin during a hot shower. Wash it lightly and use lotion as needed. The tattoo will be mostly healed at this point and slightly dry from the new layer of skin forming.
After your Tattoo
You're all healed! Come see me again. Generally you will want to use sunscreen on your tattoos as it will age with you.
